GOLD
Extending losses, On Tuesday Gold was trading on
a listless note in noon trade as traders shied away from the precious
metal ahead of key US economic data which may have a bearing on the
timing of a maiden rate lift-off by the Fed since 2006. US Retail
sales may have increased by 0.3 % in June, cooling from May’s 1.2 %
surge; data may show later on Tuesday. Investors are also eying Fed
Chair Janet Yellen’s speech tomorrow where she may offer more cues
over exactly when the central bank plans to tighten rates after
indicating last week that the FOMC remains on track to increase
borrowing costs this year, dimming the appeal of Gold as a store of
value.At the MCX, Gold futures for August 2015 contract is trading
through 25,980rs. per 10 gms, down by 0.17 % after opening at Rs
26,025, against the past closing price of Rs 26,024. At 11 'o clock,

SILVER
Silver futures, on Tuesday succumbed to notable
losses in the domestic market as investors & speculators left
positions in the precious metal after a Greek debt deal
eased concerns over the Mediterranean nation’s exit from the euro,
curbing the lure for safe haven assets such as the Bullion.Prime
Minister Alexis Tsipras took a U-turn on his stand on austerity
measures, submitting to creditors’ demands for streamlining value
added taxes, broadening the tax base to boost revenue and limiting
pension costs.At the MCX, September 2015 contract of Silver
futures is trading at Rs 35,235/kg, down by 0.82 % after
opening at Rs 35,437, against the last closing price of Rs 35,527.
