GOLD
Gold prices rose 0.15 per cent to Rs 28,007 per 10 grams in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on positive cues from global markets.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Gold for delivery in far-month October was up by Rs 41, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 28,007 per 10 grams in a business turnover of four lots.
 
The metal for delivery in August moved up by Rs 32, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 28,025 per 10 grams in a turnover of 264 lots.

SILVER
Silver prices edged higher by 0.32 per cent to Rs 45,895 per kg in futures trading today as participants built up fresh positions amid a firm global trend.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December gained Rs 147, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 45,895 per kg in a business turnover of 11 lots.
 
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 136, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 45,070 per kg in 478 lots.
